WHO

"GREATER EDINBURGH" was formed in 2008 by a partnership of tourism professionals and web design specialists.

WHAT

We are an internet listing/directory service for all tourism related businesses in our designated area. We take no bookings and charge no commission.

WHERE

The site will be a directory type of service, listing all categories related to tourism (see below). Our catchment area will be generally within a 25 mile radius of the city centre and OUTWITH the city by-pass. (The only exception will be listing of Edinburgh attractions as they will obviously be of interest to the GREATER EDINBURGH tourist). Thus the area covered will extend from the Falkirk Wheel in the west, to Peebles in the south and to Dunbar in the east.

WHY

"GREATER EDINBURGH" covers a large area across 5 counties, dozens of towns and communities, and hundreds of tourism businesses. Our aim is to consolidate the marketing effort of our diverse members under the umbrella title of "GREATER EDINBURGH".
